For many families, a haircut is a routine experience, but for special need families haircuts are a form of therapy.  They need frequent, consistent visits to slowly desensitize them to the sounds, sensations, and the environment. Every visit helps build confidence and establish comfort. But the required frequent appointments can become a   financial burden, and some families are forced to choose between what their child needs and what they can afford.
